In May 2013 I joined a group of through hikers on the Continental Divide Trail in New Mexico to seek inspiration for new work.

The beauty of the scenery exeeded my expectations. I was especially touched by the Aspen tree groves, which seemed larger than I've ever seen anywhere else. It was worth the physical effort to go to the places a person could only reach on foot.
